Each Thanksgiving weekend the Gabriola Arts Council organizes a self-guided tour of local studios. Open to everyone, this is a great chance to discover the Island's wide variety of talent. At Ellen’s studio you’ll find her passion for colour in beautiful combinations of pastel and acrylic on canvas, and in vibrant watercolour paintings.  Her portrayal of weeds will delight you!

The Squamish Music and Art Exchange Society Presents, Whistler Weeds. A show featuring, one of Sharon's favorite subjects, the minute details of our natural landscape. The show runs until October 28, 2004 at the Newport Gallery. The address is 38055 Cleveland Avenue Squamish, B.C.

 

Thursday July 1, 2004

July is the Whistler Arts Council's first annual Artwalk. Sea to Sky artists will be taking over shops in the Whistler Village. Sharon's work is on display at the Cyber Web Internet Cafe. Meet Sharon at the free opening reception, Friday July 9th from 6:30 to 9pm.

 

Tuesday March 4, 2004

Everyone is welcome to the opening reception of this showcase. Featuring examples of Sea to Sky talent including some of Sharon Jensen's work, the show's theme is Revive Rejuvenate and Renew. The Whistler Arts Council  and Whistler Photographic Society are hosting the exhibition. The reception is from 4-7pm but works will be on display at MY Place all month long.

Artrageous will be held at the Chateau Whistler from 8pm until 1am this year. Sharon and other local artists will have great gifts available just in time for Christmas. A variety of performers will be there to keep it lively.

The Whistler Farmers Market is being held until October 19th this summer. The market is from 11 am to 4 pm every Sunday. Located at the base of Blackcomb Mountain next to The Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Sharon will be there only on selected weeks. Contact us to find out when she is presenting.

Party at MY Place! The artist will be holding a reception from 4:30 to 7pm at Maurice Young Millennium Place. We will have original works, prints and art cards. The show features our friend Harvey’s professional framing from Art Junction.

The first solo show! It's all month long, if you're in the Village drop by Maurice Young Millennium Place and have a look at the latest. The theme celebrates the end of our Winter season and welcomes the beginning of Spring. Stay tuned for details on the reception.

This will be the largest ArtRageous to date. Sharon will have a bigger table this year and lots of new creations. Located under the Conference Center from 7-11pm, you can buy tickets at the door.

Opening of The Whistler Artist Art Exhibition at the Maurice Young Millennium Place. There will be refreshments and a chance to meet the artists between 5 and 8pm. The show runs until February 25th.

As part of The Village Gate Art Project the Whistler Resort has commissioned Dance of the Dandelions. A double sized print will be displayed on the pedestrian overpass officially known as the Nebbeling Bribge.

ArtRageous, for a five dollar ticket you can come and enjoy music and drinks from 7 to 11pm. Sharon will have a large selection of paintings on display. A huge variety of other local artists will also be showing.

 

Saturday June 2, 2001

Artist Sandra Stushnoff and Sharon will be outside celebrating Discovery Day. The two will be painting and talking to visitors outside of the adele-campbell Fine Arts Gallery. Works will also be on display inside the gallery.
